Steps to Accreditation

Here's how to apply for Accreditation of your Training Program and certify your Eligible Bus Operators

STEP ONE - ACCESS THE RESOURCE MATERIALS

STEP TWO - DOCUMENT COMPLETION AND SUBMISSION

  1. Application - on-line
     
    Can be completed on-line on the web site or manually.
     
  2. Training Program Self-Assessment Record
     
    Working with your existing training documentation and materials, complete the Training Self-Assessment Record.

  3. Training Declaration - Download
     
  4. Attachments
    • Course materials
        
  5. Enclose applicable Fee, as per schedule  
     
  6. Forward all documentation to MCPCC office, Attention Registrar

STEP THREE -MCPCC PROCESSES YOUR APPLICATION

  • MCPCC receives application package
  • The Registrar reviews all forms, documentation and training materials to ensure all requirements of National Occupational Standards (NOS) are met.
  • If accepted, Application will be forwarded to Accreditation and Certification Board (AC) for review
  • If not accepted, Applicant will be notified of all deficiencies.

STEP FOUR -THE ACCREDITATION AND CERTIFICATION BOARD (AC) REVIEWS YOUR APPLICATION .

  • The AC Board:
     
    • Receives referred applications
    • Reviews applications that have been referred by Registrar
    • Recommends applicant as having an Accredited Program OR
    • Finds Applicant does not meet criteria
    • Notifies MCPCC of decision

STEP FIVE – MCPCC GRANTS ACCREDITATION

  • MCPCC notifies applicant of decision
  • Maintains records; company name is entered in the Accredited Company Directory on the MCPCC website

STEP SIX - CERTIFICATION OF BUS OPERATORS

Once Accreditation is granted, companies can apply to have their eligible Bus Operators certified.

There is no additional charge.

  1. Register one or more Evaluator(s)
     
  2. Review certification requirements
     
  3. Complete the accredited Company Declaration Candidate(s) eligible to the designation of certified Professional Bus Operator (CPBO)
     
  4. Companies may submit a list or attach individual applications for Certification signed by each applicant as outlined in the declaration. Click here to submit a list or attach individual applications for Certification as outlined in the declaration.
     
  5. Forward to MCPCC Registrar
     
  6. Applications are reviewed by the Accreditation Board
     
  7. Decision is communicated by MCPCC.
