Working Conditions

Accessible transport drivers generally work on a full-time or part-time basis as salaried employees of the transit companies operating in their cities and towns. Many transit companies are unionized, providing salaries and benefits through one or more collective bargaining agreement.

Benefits generally include medical, drug, and dental plans for full-time employees; overtime possibilities; on-the-job training; and uniform provision.
